Thriving Children

Our Impact Goal

We believe all children deserve an equitable chance to succeed, regardless of their family’s income level, race, or zip code. Too many children, teens, and young adults in Contra Costa County—mostly from underserved, low-income families that face multiple barriers to opportunity—live without the basic health, education, and financial supports needed for well-being and long-term success.

Our goal is that more children are thriving through improved learning opportunities and strengthened families, resulting in increased educational and economic mobility.

Our Grantmaking

We are committed to supporting parental engagement of children ages zero to five, and creating an enhanced reading culture in communities, particularly in East Contra Costa County.

Additionally, we are committed to supporting the needs of transition-age teens and young adults without a high school diploma.

We identify and support organizations that help these youth complete their education, gain job skills, and acquire the wrap-around support—such as housing and mental health counseling—that can remove barriers to success.
