The Lesher Foundation would like to share with you a short new document on the opportunity gap for Contra Costa Children developed in partnership with First 5 Contra Costa, Children Now, and the Contra Costa Economic Partnership. The statistics summarized in the infographic show that low-income children and children of color in our community are not afforded the same opportunity to succeed as their more affluent peers.
As has been noted by many others, talent is universal, but opportunity is not. The Lesher Foundation looks forward to ongoing, long-term work with our partners in the community to address the opportunity gap in Contra Costa County so that ALL children have the opportunity to thrive and reach their fullest potential.
